Thunderstruck Crepe Myrtle
Thus far the plants are doing well. I used them to line my driveway and hopefully will get some blooms this year.
She is finally looking like the dark foliage that I was expecting. No flowers have appeared yet, but I am hopeful. Since I haven’t seen the blooms yet, I rated it a 4.
As you know, when a plant arrived with the orange colored tag claiming to be the above plant, I was skeptical because the leaves were golden yellow and stems were light too. A replacement plant was sent to me as a result. Both are now darker in both stems and leaves. I am grateful that you sent the second plant anyway. Thank you so much. The delivery was a very frustrating process I never wish to repeat. Somehow, Fed. Exp. set up delivery for a Sunday- to a place of worship with 2 scheduled meetings and lots of traffic in/out of the parking lot!!! It was very nerve wracking for me, and no one was available to talk with to have it come Mon. /Tues. as promised. A small box containing the 6 weigelas & vine was sub. out to a driver in his own vehicle w/no AC, stuffed with other boxes, …. The plants were in very rough shape.
Loving This Lil’ Tree!
I live in Southern California and purchased this Crape Myrtle in January. When it arrived, it looked like a dead stick! But by February, it began to sprout leaves and fill out nicely. It is now March and I expect to see it flower soon… maybe by next month! I can’t wait to see it mature!!!
Nice size and looks healthy
Too cold outside to rate its beauty but it looks healthy
The great crape
Arrived very quickly, just at 5 days after I ordered it. There was a bit of soil loss during shipping leaving quite a bit of root exposed, but it did stay in the bag around the planter so it wasn't messy but definitely stressed the tree a bit. Size was pretty on point, measured just over 5' from base of stem to top. Placed it in a temporary planter and gave it a solid watering to breathe and decompress a bit before planting. Overall, very happy with the tree and don't see any major issues at this point and looking forward to watching it grow
