Orange Jubilee Tecoma Plant

First time ordering from here. Great service healthy beautiful plants

I spoke with lisa and she answered all my questions about the Orange Jericho Tecoma trees I wanted. The delivery was fast and the plants arrived in perfect condition ready to be planted. Great customer service and dependable company. I already have plans for more orders.

I received the Orange Jubilee Tecoma packaged in a box that was 61" long. It was what I expected since I bought a 5 gallon plant. Opening the box I found a pot that probably was a 5 gallon container but the plant looked very short. Later I went to their site and found the container sizes and example heights of the plants for the specific containers. It says that the 5 gallon plant should be 4-5 feet tall. You can see in the photo with the tape measure that it measures 21 1/2" which isn't even half the appropriate size for a 5 gallon plant. As I carefully took the plant out of the container, loose mulch started falling out from around the edges and the plant itself was in a fairly tightly rooted, maybe 1 gallon size chunk of potting soil. You can see it next to the pot it came out of. I'm being generous saying it was a gallon size plant but the height of it fits within their range. I don't know how they could call this a 5 gallon plant. Obviously the roots were 'bound' from being in a 1 gallon size container. There usually is a tag in the container with the name of the plant and the size. There was no tag anywhere. Because I had opened the box, cut the ties, unpacked and taken the plant out from the pot, I figured there was no way I could return it. I will say the plant looks very healthy and I'm sure it will grow but I shouldn't have been charged for a plant that should have been twice the size. I actually wanted a smaller size because of the price but the company only offered the supposed 5 gallon size and had I've bought enough plants from them in the past that I trusted that I would get a healthy plant. I didn't realize I would be paying double the price, $109.85, for what I received. The 1 gallon Crossvine I bought from them a month or so ago was $49.95. I can answer that I recommend the plant but not at the price I paid and I would have to look at other companies in the future for plant purchases.
