Thriving Elderberries Despite a Rough Ride
I ordered two Marge elderberry bushes and one Bushel and Berry Raspberry Shortcake bush (the latter ships in May). The elderberries arrived on March 19, 2025, and were packaged thoughtfully—paper cushioned the plants (likely to protect them if the box got banged up), and plastic wrapped the pots (probably to retain moisture and keep the soil in place). The box itself could’ve used plastic bands for reinforcement; it arrived opened, likely because the bulky plants shifted and the FedEx handler carried it by the flap. That delivery hiccup had me worried about damage, but thankfully, the plants were fine. They exceeded my expectations—bigger and healthier-looking than I’d imagined. I potted them on March 21, 2025, and in just 2. 5 weeks, they’ve grown noticeably. I’m thrilled with the quality and can’t wait for my raspberry bush in May. I’ll definitely be ordering from Fast Growing Trees again!
