Delicious Berries on a Majestic Tree

Delicious Berries the First Year
"Here we go 'round the Mulberry Bush..." Do you remember singing that song as a child? What exactly is a mulberry? You don't see them in the supermarket, but if you like blackberries - you'll LOVE mulberries. And you can grow your own tree! This Black Beauty produces succulent mulberries (that offer even more juicy flavor than blackberries!) The delicious and nutritious fruit grows in abundance from June to August. It's special because the berries ripen over an extended period of time... unlike many fruits which ripen all at once. This easy-to-grow tree will provide you and your family with enough fruit to keep you happy all summer.

Expect berries your very first year. Plant your tree in full sun to enjoy a delightful display of flowers around May. Then, it quickly sets fruit. You'll pick a surprising amount of berries, and while they're absolutely delicious right off the vine, you can preserve them to enjoy throughout the year. Mulberries make tasty jams, jellies and taste amazing in pies.

Majestic Shade Tree
It's not just a prolific producer of luscious fruit - the Black Beauty Mulberry quickly matures into a stately ornamental tree. Swiftly reaching heights up to 15 feet tall and 10 feet wide, it's a magnificent sight. Featuring large heart-shaped leaves, some sculpted with lobes, it's a beautiful tree that offers year-round interest. The bark on younger trees is typically an attractive orangish color, maturing to gray-brown.

You'll gain significant shade from the sun during the summer months, saving you money on your electric bills, while letting in much-needed sunlight during the winter.

Low Maintenance
Don't be fooled by its beauty or ability to produce a massive amount of fruit. It's not complicated to own this tree at all! We've groomed it here at our nursery until it's ready for your landscape. Just plant it and enjoy watching it flower and fruit the first year. Our Black Beauty Mulberry trees are drought tolerant and extremely sturdy - able to tolerate high winds, extreme heat, poor soil, and pollution.

If you want a fruit tree that doubles as an attractive ornamental, then we highly recommend this tree. Always in demand, we tend to sell out quickly, so order now!

    I got two saplings delivered

I got two saplings delivered in early spring and was surprised to see they already had leaves. A cold spell came a couple weeks after I planted them and all the leaves died and I was worried the plants wouldn’t make it. I reached out to Fast growing trees and they said if new growth doesn’t come back, then they would replace the trees. I thought this was excellent customer service and put me at ease. After a couple weeks new growth started and now a few months in it is bushy and is already bearing fruit. Very satisfied and very healthy tree.

    Beautiful and bountiful

I planted my mulberry last year and it is just gorgeous -- vigorous and covered in fruit already. I'm in upstate NY and would highly recommend.

    The first fruited mulberry tree

The first fruited mulberry tree I ordered was amazing. The second mulberry tree I ordered because of the quality and condition of the first tree was in very poor condition. I believe it was due to shipping. Let’s be fair, Whoever delivers those trees, plants really doesn’t seem to care about the instructions clearly marked on the boxes. It was upside down. Part of the top was broken off. Most of the soil was in The bag not the container and it was very dry due to The unusual heat. I planted it with fingers crossed, and it did not survive. Sometime later, I reached out to customer service. They are amazing. They did not have the size of tree I had already purchased so they gave me a in-store gift card that I can use for next season. Bummer but a definite win-win. I love this company. The products and customer service is five star

    Tough tree!

I got my Everbearing Mulberry in early 2022. I'm writing this review in May 2024. Had a few fruits in 2023, but this year it has been prolific. I'm in central Texas, so it has survived two very hot, very dry summers and one surprise ice storm. Two columnar apple trees and one of two cherry trees were casualties of our climate but the Mulberry feels right at home here. I'm using it not only for the fruit, but when I need to prune it, the foliage makes great fodder for my meat rabbits.
