Why Coral Champagne Cherry Trees?
Love cherry trees, but worried you won't be able to grow them in your year-round warm area? Then we've got the tree for you! One of the most popular cherries produced in California, this deep-pink variety is what you’ve been looking for.
The Coral Champagne Cherry Tree grows well in milder climates, because it requires fewer chill hours than most cherry varieties. Most cherry trees need at least 700 chill hours - when temperatures drop below 45 degrees - to thrive. However, the Coral Champagne only requires around half of that time - only 300 to 400 hours in colder temperatures. That’s why this tree is able to produce a high yield of tasty, glossy-skinned cherries in warmer areas!
The moderately-sized Coral Champagne Cherry Tree is perfect for building your orchard or adding to your fruit tree collection. In the spring, the tree blooms with whimsical white flowers before sprouting picture-perfect cherries. The tree is the ideal complement to your other cherry trees, since it requires a pollinator - for maximum fruit production, choose another cherry like Rainier, Bing, the Brooks Cherry, or the Black Tartarian.

Coral Champagne Cherry Tree
My Coral Champagne Cherry Tree arrived in late fall in excellent condition. The tree was slightly larger than 6 feet long and had only two branches at the top, budding nicely for spring growth. I transplanted it into a 30-gallon Vivosun cloth container, where it will grow for the next two years, and then moved to a permanent location. I am happy with this purchase.
This is my second cherry tree from Fast Growing Trees.
Last year I planted a Lapins Cherry from FGTs. I was really impressed with the quality of tree and the care taken in shipping it. It has done great in my Northwest, Florida yard. So this year, I ordered one more cherry tree - a Coral Champagne. Both are suited my Zone 9a and my new addition is doing great. It’s only been in the ground for a few weeks but already has a few blooms and some leaves. I’m hoping to get a few cherries from my Lapins this year, so far it’s growing nicely but has not fruited. In any case, I would use FGTs again. They provide top quality trees and make sure they get to you in good shape.
It has been in ground over A week . We are having A very warm spring . I water it every 2 to 3 days.
Hopefully we won't have A late frost , but it's not Easter yet . The leaves are slightly loner . Maybe it is rooting well . It is in sheltered neighborhood but in sun all day . with the rare 12 degree night we had last month even tangerine & grapefruit are greening up nicely . That's great for Dothan .

The tree is fine I thought it would be a little fuller than it was, but it is fine.
Damaged tree quickly replaced.
My original tree arrived in bad shape. The top seven inches of the tree were broken off during shipping, leaving a stick with a few leaves protruding from it. I sent a photo to customer service and they sent me a new one immediately, free of charge. The new tree is much healthier and undamaged. The tree is great but I can’t say enough about the wonderful customer service.
