Flowering 3-4months in
I'll be honest, I set my expectations low this time. I've had mixed results in the past. Easy to grow plants come hard for me. Hard to bring back to life tend to thrive instead. I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep it alive. However, 3-4 months in, I have new growth, fresh leaves, and budding flowers. I need to dust it and give the leaves some TLC (they get dusty from living in the room with my furbaby Zooey). It has been indoor only, with the window being shaded. I have one grow light on 9 hrs a day and a second one that I turn on occasionally, and that seems to be enough for now. It survived repotting upon arrival with only a few branches dieing out. I think the key with this one is to really double check the root base before watering, because like my ice cream bean tree it does want to dry out in between. I may eventually move it to a room with better natural sunlight, but for now it's doing good. The first watering I gave it a soaking. Since then it's been more limited. I suspect if I placed it in full sunlight, it would be thirstier. Overall I'm very happy. It's been easy to integrate into my watering schedule and not difficult to figure out how much water to give it.
