Can’t tell it’s not blooming or has buds on it . Little afraid I wasted my money.

This arrived dead and the trunk was not connected to the root ball. Customer service was very nice! She even waited on the phone while I took a photo of the dead tree and send it to her, then processed the delivery of the new tree at no cost, arriving the same week. Very impressed.

SUPERB! - STUNNING! - SCARLET!

This crape seemed a little pricey, and when I made the purchase, there weren't any size options available. However, crapes grow really well in my area, and I know this touch of scarlet red will be great in my yard. The tree arrived well packaged, bigger than anticipated, and clearly eager to be planted in the ground. The roots in the pot were pretty full and starting to encircle, so I had to do a little teasing of the root ball before planting. The pot was "light" when I got it out of the box and the leaves were kinda droopy. But it had just spent 4 days in a hot, dark box getting to me, so I don't really blame it. The leaves on this crape are "thicker" than some other varieties, feeling slightly more leathery. I suspect that'll mean the fall color will be worth watching for. Once it was watered and in the ground, it perked up nicely! I shaped it up a little by trimming some small broken twigs and nipping off the spent flower buds from the top, and it's looking great! I know it will be beautiful as it fills out (and up). It arrived in its hot box yesterday afternoon (103 degrees). I planted it yesterday evening, giving it some water, attention, and encouraging words. This picture is from today. For reference, the fence behind it is 8 feet tall. FGT is great. Highly recommend them as your source for any plants they stock that are appropriate for your location and growing conditions. I will buy more from them myself!
