Trees are difficult to photograph, so the pictures do not do them justice! I ordered and planted two Chinese Fringe Trees back in 2020, so they are definitely not "fast growing". BUT they really are a great addition for my small backyard. The thing that I've noticed is just how hearty they are. Around the same time, I had 6 other trees planted (purchased locally) that only lasted about 2 years. Granted, we've had extreme heat and I probably didn't take the best care of them, but the fringe trees have outperformed. I was worried one spring becuase we had a late frost that killed all the new growth. However, they came back shortly after, which was a huge relief. I still do have the wood stakes for support, but that is mostly out of an abundance of caution (we've had some crazy winds over the years). I'll likely remove them next spring. These days, I make sure that I take the time to water the yard properly and don't worry too much in the winter. They are gorgeous and I really am quite fond of how they turned out.
