Exotic, Flavorful Citrus That's Easy-Growing
Why Buddha's Hand Citron Trees?
It's a distinctive tree with incredible-looking fruit, flavor-enhancing abilities and a wonderful fragrance that freshens the air indoors. A sturdy, upright citrus tree with deep green leaves, the Buddha's Hand Citron Tree is an exotic favorite.
Long, fingerlike structures curl outward from each fruit, forming what looks like bright yellow hands throughout your tree. And although the Buddha's Hand fruit contains no pulp or juice, there are still plenty of wonderful uses for it.
Unlike most citrus, the Buddha's Hand is not bitter, which means the zest is perfect for shaving into salads, creating candied citrus peel or accompanying baked goods for extra flavor. Perhaps the most popular use of this fruit is in creating the most delectable cocktails imaginable. In fact, you can even infuse vodka to create your own 'Buddhacellos.'

Growing Like Crazy! How to prune?
My daughter gifted me a Buddha’s Hand. It arrived perfect - 3’ tall with a healthy “head” of foliage. All the nodules along the trunk where it was pruned before shipping have very quickly sprouted new growth. Should I keep it pruned? It is also leading at the top.

Buddha Hand Citron & Fast Growing Trees
This is my 2nd time to purchase Buddha Hand Citron trees from FGT. I have always enjoyed the natural heavenly scent that the Buddha Hand fruit permeates throughout an entire large room. I had lived in Northern California where there was an endless supply of local nurseries to acquire plants to grow my own fruit. Then I moved to to the Pacific Northwest - I could not bring my mature plants with me to this new growing zone that is not ideal for citrus plants. I did a lot of research to learn how to care for citrus trees (particularly the Buddha Hand) in my new area. I took a leap of faith and purchased for the first time plants/trees online - at FastGrowningTrees - ordering (6) 3-4' Buddha Hand trees - anticipating I may lose some. The trees from FGT arrived very healthy despite having traveled 2-weeks across the country. It's been 2 years now and all six original trees have grown, thrived and bear lots of heavenly scented medium & large fruits. With success rate experienced, I have now re-ordered 2 more Buddha Hand trees from FGT. I have also ventured ordering other citrus trees from them - Yuzu, Calamondin, Satsuma, Cara-Car, and Austrailian Fingerlime. Last year, I took another leap of faith and ordered 2 Plumeria trees - Wow! One plant grew two huge sprays of Plumeria flowers this past summer. Customer Service at FGT is the BEST. Experts in their field, always ready to help, personable, accommodating and patient. Shipment packaging of their trees are done with extreme care. From my experience, their plants/trees are of higher quality and better cared for than some of my best local nurseries. Very pleased and highly recommend FGT. Keep up the great work FGT!
Bought this as a gift for a friend
I bought one of these as a gift for a friend, and their gardener was so enamored by it they wanted one to gift to him. So we bought a second and have just transported it. It’s a good thing citrus like heat because we did stress it while on the trip but it looks like it will be fine. It arrived with one bud on it which we hope will deliver a fruit. Some of the leaves had a little curl to them but didn’t look serious. Its been well watered now and will go to its new home.
