Only thing that's grown in my Zone 8 North Carolina sand!
We have very sandy/silty soil where I live in NC. Nothing but weeds seems to take in our soil. This year I aerated then seeded with this and within 7 days we had sprouts! We are now 2 weeks in and it's really starting to take off. We've had days in the 90's and the seed is going strong with 3 short (~6-12 minutes depending on the sprinkler type) waters a day. Very happy with this seed and will definitely buy it again. Also, the area I seeded was about 5000 sqft. I used 20lbs total of seed to give it a good coating (we have a lot of bare patches and weeds). I could've used another bag I think but I'm pretty happy with the coverage.
Great in Georgia Clay!
I recently planted 10 lbs of seed in my yard. I was VERY hesitant because all I had was red clay after doing some regrading around the house. I simply disturbed the top layer of clay with a hard toothed rake, spread the seed at the correct rates, and watered 2-3 times a day for 20 minutes. A week later and a thick bed of Bermuda grass is beginning to sprout! Excited to see the finished product!
Tough seed
Overseeded my front lawn with this seed but unfortunately we had a huge storm come in that washed away all the seed and everything else we had put down. Ended up just buying sod but to my surprise the seed that got washed down into the ditch actually germinated and has began to take over the centipede. Will probably buy some more seed for more overseeding projects.
Waiting for grass to grow
Don’t know yet. I haven’t seen any growth. Also still waiting on my blackberry vine. It was BOGO. Only received one.
