Sweet, Wild Blueberries, Grown at Home!

Why Lowbush Blueberries?

You're probably familiar with the berries you get from this blueberry bush's larger cousin, the Highbush Blueberry. But if you haven't tried the Lowbush Blueberry, you're missing out!

These smaller berries are sweet, with a more intense blueberry flavor. They'll make the perfect addition to pancakes, smoothies, pies and more - and they're excellent for snacking fresh off the bush, too!

Often found in the wild in northern climates like Maine and New Brunswick, the Lowbush Blueberry is perfect for at-home growing in zones 3-7! They're extremely cold-hardy and prefer acidic, well-drained soil.

  • Produces deliciously sweet blueberries
  • Low-lying and compact, ideal as a space-filler or groundcover in garden beds
  • Prefers acidic, well-draining soil
  • Hardy and disease resistant

    As advertised

All four of the plants I ordered seem very healthy; one even has little blooms on it after a week in the ground!

    Very Satisfied

These berries are quite like our "Wild" one up here in Maine which are more flavorful than ordinary store-boughg berries.

    Lowbush Blueberry

It arrived very healthy. I planted it according to directions in full sun and in well draining soil so we will see how it does after the winter.

    My first Lowbush Blueberry plants

I have quite an extensive group of different varieties of Highbush Blueberries, but have wanted to try some Lowbush. When I saw FastGrowingTrees.com was having a sale, I checked it out and decided to buy a couple Lowbush Blueberries and see how they'd do after a year of growth. I planted them carefully where they'd get ample sunshine and started thinking about the first blueberries I'd get from them next spring and summer. Much to my surprise, I got berries from them this year, within two weeks of planting them. The berries were smaller than I'm used to but, oh so good! Now, if I can just keep my grandson from eating them all!
