Self-Fertile Cherry Tree and Fruit in 1 Year

Why Lapins Cherry Trees?

The irresistible sweetness of cherries will become a summer family tradition when you purchase the Lapins Cherry Tree. When harvest time arrives, your Lapins will produce 15 to 20 gallons of the succulent fruit.

And you’ll get this sweet-tasting harvest in just one year. Vibrant blooms in the spring then transition into a summer bounty of delectable sweet cherries after only the first year. Plus, it’s low-maintenance, thriving in a variety of soil types, tolerant temperatures down to -10 degrees and producing fruit on its own, without a pollinator.

So happy with this beautiful specimen!

Beautiful, healthy, TALL tree! I purchased 5-6' and that's accurate! Thank God it was an overcast, sprinkly day and thank God that I somehow knew it was delivered because Fedex left it in front of the garage and didn't even ring the doorbell. Anyway, I'm so happy with it! I planted it strategically so that, when it's tall and has a beautiful large canopy, it will block the neighbor's view into our backyard lol. Thanks, FGT!!

    I remain hopeful

Ordered July 17th, it shipped on the 20th, & arrived on the 22nd. We are in Houston, where summers are always in the 90s at least. Luckily we haven't had as many days with triple digits as last year. We actually had a week of rain, right when the tree arrived, which I don't think it liked. We have well drained soil but it didn't get sun for a while. It arrived very tall (I bought 5-6 ft but I think it was closer to 7ft) with 2 twigs as branches and 2-3 big leaves. The leaves were not in good condition but the instructions said that's normal. They fell off eventually. It took a while but it seems to be thriving now. My husband is the one with the green thumb and gave it lots of extra care every day. He was out there breathing on it and we fertilized it after the rain stopped. We got this awesome stuff from Moon Valley Nursery. It really does grow fast. There is visible new growth daily! The little crown at the very top (See picture) was only 1 layer and had the 2nd layer within a week. We chose Fast Growing Trees.com because Home Depot shipped a bare root tree that was just a stick. Rookie mistake; it didn't last long and already had mold on the roots. That was in May and we didn't want to miss the return deadline. After researching, though, we read that container grown trees are OK to plant any time of year, at least in Zone 9. We may not get cherries every year but this tree is still supposed to be beautiful year round.

    Good so far

It’s okay, it’s not growing much but it doesn’t look like it’s dying. A few leaves with brown spots. New buds seem to be coming as well
