Evergreen trees get their name from their year-round color—these large, lush green trees retain their foliage year-round, even through winter, and are popular for their thick growth and ease of care. A trademark characteristic of evergreens is that they don’t drop their leaves, no matter the weather.
Evergreens are one of our top categories at Fast Growing Trees because of their fantastic ability to create privacy screens. Within this category, our most popular varieties include arborvitae trees, juniper trees, holly trees, cypress trees, and spruce trees.
Evergreen trees are our speciality and some of our most popular trees, with many of our evergreens averaging rating of 4.8 stars or even higher. Some of our top-rated evergreen trees include:
We carry a number of fast-growing evergreens, which are defined as growing at least two feet or more per year—but evergreens that are part of the Arborvitae family, like the Thuja Green Giant and Emerald Green, are known some of the fastest growers, making them incredibly versatile in the landscape.
When choosing an evergreen tree for your yard, the first step is understanding what USDA planting zone you’re located in so you can be sure your chosen variety is compatible with your location. Additionally, the process for choosing an evergreen variety will depend on if you’re planting one tree or multiples. If planning for a privacy fence, you’ll want to identify how high you want your fence, as well as measure your border to determine how many trees you’ll need. If you’re not sure which evergreen tree to choose, our Plant Experts can help!
Definitely! Fast Growing Trees provides free, speedy shipping (with a minimum purchase) to all 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Order online and your evergreen tree will be delivered straight to your home or business within just a few days.
Evergreen tree pricing varies based on the type of tree and size at the time of shipping. Smaller evergreen trees may cost as little as $20, while a mature tree that ranges 6-8 ft. tall or comes in a 10-15 gallon pot might cost several hundred dollars (but will also give you the benefits of a mature tree, ready to plant in your landscape!).

Our evergreen trees are sourced from some of the best growers across the country, and we meticulously care for each plant at our nursery in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Many of our evergreen trees are grown in the Pacific Northwest, where beautiful, towering evergreens thrive.
We carry a wide range of evergreen trees, for both privacy and ornamental landscape use, although privacy trees are our most popular category. We sell trees as small as 1 quart and as large as 7-8 ft, in 15 gallon nursery pots.
Prior to shipping, evergreen trees are planted in nutrient-rich soil and cared for at our South Carolina nursery. Each tree ships in a plastic nursery pot or cloth grow bag, which is secured carefully in recyclable cardboard packaging. Your evergreen will arrive happy, healthy, and ready to be planted in your yard. With our larger sizes, including trees up to 7-8 feet tall and in 10-15 gallon pots, you can even get instant privacy as soon as you plant!
